Your receipts, already filed.
They are in your camera roll and nowhere else. Receipt finds them, reads them with Apple Intelligence, and emails them where they belong — Xero, Revolut, your accountant — from your own mailbox, which is the only address those services will accept.
What it does
- Finds them without being asked A photographed receipt is already in your library. Receipt looks through new photos when you open it, picks out the ones that are receipts, and leaves the other four thousand alone.
- Reads what you actually paid Shop, total, tax, date and the last four digits of the card. When a restaurant hands you an itemised bill and a separate card slip, photograph both together — the slip is what says how much of that table's bill was yours.
- Sends from your mailbox, not ours Xero, Revolut, Dext and Expensify all work out whose account a receipt belongs to from the address it arrived from. So Receipt talks to your own mail provider directly. No compose sheet opens and there is nothing to press send on.
- Automations, by card Pair a card with a place once — the business Amex to Xero, the personal one to nowhere at all — and receipts paid on it file themselves. Two mailboxes, two lives, one phone.
- Nothing leaves before you have seen it Automation removes choosing a destination and tapping send. It does not remove looking. An app that reaches into a whole camera roll gets exactly one chance to be wrong about something private.
- Every figure is editable What comes off a photograph is an estimate. Saying so is only honest if you can correct it before it reaches an accountant, so you can.
- Six colours, and the icon follows Change the colour and the app on your Home Screen changes with it.
What it doesn't do
There is no account and no server of ours. Your receipts stay on your iPhone, your photographs stay in your photo library, and your mail goes straight from the phone to your own mail provider. Nothing is measured about how you use the app, because there is nothing in it that measures you. Receipt moves paperwork — it does not decide what is deductible and is not a substitute for an accountant. Read the privacy policy — it is short, because the truthful version is short.
