What it does
- Reads your plate on the device One photo, one tap. Apple Intelligence names the meal, picks out the foods and estimates the calories, protein, carbs and fat — on the iPhone itself. Every food arrives as a line you can correct before saving, and the total follows your corrections.
- A sharper reading, if you choose Switch to Apple's Private Cloud Compute — built so nobody, Apple included, can see your photo. Off unless you turn it on, and never a server of ours.
- One ring for today Set a daily target and watch it fill as the day adds up. A day that stays at or under it counts as on target.
- History, day by day Every meal keeps its photo, its foods and its calories, filed under the day you ate it. Filter by breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks.
- Share totals, never photos Friends you invite see each day's calories and meal count, through your own iCloud. The photographs stay on your iPhone — always.
- Counts in Apple Health Turn it on and each meal is saved to Health as dietary energy, alongside everything else Health tracks.
- Six colours, and the icon follows Change the colour and the app on your Home Screen changes with it.
What it doesn't do
There is no account and no server of ours. Your photos, your meals and your estimates stay on your iPhone, and the reading happens there too. Nothing is measured about how you use the app, because there is nothing in it that measures you. Read the privacy policy — it is short, because the truthful version is short.
